If you are a collector in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you must have a lot of Gemstones. If you are worried about the gemstones taking up space in your inventory, you might want to get rid of them. But what if you knew how important the Gemstones are. So, don’t go out and sell them just yet. These gemstones have a lot of amazing uses that would really be beneficial for you in the game. Besides making money selling the Gemstones, you can actually upgrade your armor and jewelry with them. They are also a great material to craft elemental items with them. You can make some unique weapons with them as well. so, you’ll find gemstones quite helpful in so many different ways in Zelda; Breath of the Wild. Following is a list of many possible uses of Gemstones in the game.

The Types of Gemstones

There are various types of Gemstones present in Zelda; Breath of the Wild. We’ll tell you where to find them and on what price you can save them.

Amber:

You can find Amber mostly in the Ore deposits and they are also dropped by the Silver enemies. All Talus type bosses also Drop Amber. Amber selling price is 30 in the game.

Opal:

Opal is also found in Ore deposits in huge quantities. It is also dropped by the Silver enemies and the Stone Talus. Opal has a Sell price of 60 in the game.

Luminous Stone:

The Luminous Stone can be found in the areas with Luminous Stone deposits. These Stones are also dropped by the Luminous Stone Talus. The Sell price of Luminous Stone is 70.

Topaz:

Topaz are mainly present in the regions of Ore Deposits and can be found in Ore Deposits. Topaz are also dropped by Luminous and Rare Talus bosses. Topaz are also dropped by the Silver enemies. The selling price for Topaz is 180.

Ruby:

The Rubies are mostly present in Ore deposits. They are also left by the Standard, Luminous and Rare Talus enemies along with Silver enemies. The Sale price for Ruby is 210.

Sapphire:

Sapphires are found mainly in Ore deposits. These Gemstones are also dropped by Frost and Rare Talus along with the Silver enemies. The Sell Price for Sapphire is 260.

Diamond:

Diamonds are also present in Ore deposits. They are left by every Talus in the game instead of the Standard Talus and the Silver enemies. If you are short on Diamond Gemstones, you can always buy them for an equal amount of Luminous Stones in Zora‘s Domain region. The Sell value for Diamond is 500.

Jewelry and the Gemstones

As described earlier, Gemstones have so many different purposes. One of the gemstone’s most beneficial purposes is that they help you upgrade your jewelry in the game. The specific type of jewelry requires a specific type of gemstone, so they are not at all useless. Following are the jewelry types that use different types of gemstones to upgrade.

Topaz Earrings (Effect: Enhances Shock Resistance)

  • Level 1: Topaz x2, Flint x3
  • Level 2: Topaz x4, Flint x3
  • Level 3: Topaz x6, Star Fragment x1
  • Level 4: Topaz x10, Star Fragment x1

Amber Earrings (Effect: Increases Heat Resistance)

  • Level 1: Amber x5, Flint x3

Diamond Circlet (Effect: Increases the Guardian Resist)

Ruby Circlet (Effect: Enhances Cold Resistance)

Gemstones are helpful in crafting a number of different types of elemental items. Following are the Gemstones and Elemental items that you can craft with them.

Topaz: Electric Elemental Items

There are a number of Unique Weapons that you can also create and craft with the Gemstones. You can completely reforge these unique weapons with the help of gemstones. You just need the right set of Gemstones and other materials in perfect quantity.

If you think you have way more Gemstones than you need, you can always sell them. Once sold down you can buy anything you need. Keep on revisiting your local blacksmith once you have your unique items and look for the options of what the blacksmith forge your weapons into. You can also use the Gemstones to leave some elemental effects on the items,  so keep a stock of the relevant gemstones.
