Yuri On Ice Episode 8 Recap

In Yuri on Ice episode 8, Viktor’s dog was admitted into a hospital because he ate something. This made Viktor worried as he loved his dog a lot. Upon seeing his condition, Yuri suggested him to go back to Japan and be there for his dog. After seeing that Yuri was okay with him leaving, he decided to head back to Japan. However, he left Yuri under Yakov’s care and made him his coach for one day.

The main problem here was that Yakov is also the coach of Yuri’s biggest rival, Yuri Plisetsky, Yuri Plisetsky is already trying his best to win against Yuri, and he will now try even harder to beat him so he can prove it to Yakov that he is better. Yakov becoming the coach of Yuri for one day will have a big effect on Yuri Plisetsky’s next performance. Maybe he will get too jealous and will lose the second round, or he might even get motivated and gain confidence because of this. Whatever the case is, it will be without any doubt, interesting to see how Yuri Plisetsky will manage to take Yuri’s place.
