Yuri on Ice episode 8 was released a few days ago, meaning that fans are now eagerly waiting for the next one to arrive. The previous episode was definitely an amazing one as in it, almost everyone gave a perfect performance.
Here is a short recap of Yuri on Ice episode 8 and spoilers of episode 9.
Yuri On Ice Episode 8 Recap
In Yuri on Ice episode 8, Yuri gave on hell of a performance. He even managed to defeat his old rival, Yuri Plisetsky, who was previously becoming the reason of his nervousness. However, Yuri wasn’t good enough to beat Jean-Jaques Leroy, who took the first place with the help of his J.J Style, but Yuri still managed to win the hearts of everyone by showing what he can do.
Just when Yuri and Viktor were about to celebrate, a big tragedy happened. Viktor’s dog, Maccachin unfortunately ate something, which made him sick. His dog was in critical condition, so he was taken to an animal hospital. Viktor got worried upon hearing about his dog’s condition, so Yuri told him that he should go back to Japan and be there for his dog. With no choice left, Viktor packed his stuff and requested Yakov, his former coach, to keep Yuri in his care and become his coach for one day.
For those who don’t know, Yakov is also Yuri Plisetsky’s coach. As he has now taken Yuri in his care too, Yuri Plisetsky’s will most probably get jealous and furious. This might make him lose the next round, or he might actually give one hell of a performance to prove that he’s better than Yuri. Whatever the case is, Yakov becoming Yuri’s coach for one day will definitely have an effect on his performance. Also, this will be a big test for Yuri as we will get to see how he will manage to stand up on his own as Viktor is currently out of the picture. He will have to prove it to him that he can handle himself.
Viktor To Quit As Yuri’s Coach?
Now, if Yuri gives one hell of a performance in the next round, this might leave Viktor thinking that Yuri is better off without a coach. Rumor is that he will consider leaving Yuri under Yakov’s care as he will think that a professional coach is better for him rather than a rookie coach like him. Whatever the case will be, fans can definitely expect to see some serious emotional drama in the next episode.
