Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium are now receiving the revised Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on the Bell network. In case you don’t know, the carrier had released the update back on 23rd March, but the rollout was stopped when critical bugs were discovered. Users were not able to access the Play Store, devices were getting bricked, and many issues were being faced by the users. Sony had removed the update and had promised to reissue it.

As promised, the Marshmallow update for the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium is now seeding on the Bell network. If you own one of the devices on the network, then you will be receiving the OTA update notification shortly. If you haven’t received it yet, then you can go to Settings and check for the update manually. Once updated to Marshmallow, you will get standard Marshmallow features like Doze, app permissions, Now on Tap, etc.

Also, the fingerprint sensors on your device will now support Android Pay mobile payment authorization rather than just being an unlocking mechanism. The new update will let you add a new password or pattern for changing your fingerprint, which will come handy if someone tries to enter their fingerprints.
