Xiaomi Redmi Pro with dual-camera has already been launched in China. The new smartphone follows the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which has been a successful product in the country. However, the Redmi Pro is yet to arrive in other countries, including India.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Pro in its home country China in July. It was expected to be launched in other markets soon after. So far, there has not been any official word about the Indian release date as yet. In fact, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 on September 14th. It is also reported that the Mi Note 2 is going to be renamed as Mi Pro and might be launched by that name. The Chinese technology giant has also created a new verified page for Xiaomi Mi Pro on Weibo. It is safe to assume that we’d have to wait for the Redmi Pro, till the new Note series smartphone is launched.

The Redmi Pro sports a full metal body. It features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a pixel density of 401ppi. There is also a fingerprint sensor on board. It comes in three variants with different processor / RAM / internal storage combinations. The new smartphone is powered by Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 / Helio X25 processor. It is supported by 3 GB of RAM with the 32 GB/ 64 GB of internal storage, and 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage. This internal storage can be extended via a microSD card. The new smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-OS with MIUI 8.0 on top.

The Redmi Pro sports a dual camera set-up. It comes with a 13MP rear camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, and a 5MP Samsung camera with dedicated depth of field image chipset [ImagiQ], dual-tone LED flash, Dynamic depth of view. There is also a 5MP front camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. The new smartphone is backed by a 4,050mAh battery.

The first variant with MediaTek Helio X20 CPU / 3GB RAM / 32GB storage is priced at 1499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 15,100). While the one with MediaTek Helio X20 CPU / 3GB RAM / 64GB storage costs 1699 Yuan (approx. Rs.17,100). The third variant with MediaTek Helio X25 CPU / 4GB RAM / 128GB storage is priced at 1999 Yuan (approx. Rs. 20,100).
