Xiaomi finally launched its much-hyped and anticipated Redmi device, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro. According to the Chinese tech giant, the Redmi Pro is most powerful Redmi device yet and we must admit that seems indeed true.

Redmi Pro

The Redmi Pro sports a 5.5-inch FHD OLED display and is powered by MediaTek’s latest and very powerful deca-core Helio X25 SoC coupled with Mali-T880 GPU. The device is available in various memory options including 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB inbuilt storage. An impressive 4,050mAh battery is there to provide enough juice for your day-to-day activities.

The chief attraction of the Redmi Pro is, however, its rear dual-camera setup. The primary rear camera of the device has a dual setup of a 13MP lens with an additional 5MP depth sensor. The setup is more or less like what we saw in the HTC One M9 and the company has claimed that this setup is capable of providing DSLR-like effects. However, this remains to be seen. There is a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video chat. Among other notable features, the device features a fingerprint sensor on the front, USB Type-C, and dual-SIM with 4G LTE support along with VoLTE.

The 3GB RAM/64GB ROM variant of the Redmi Pro has been priced RMB 1,699 (around $255), while the top model with 4GB RAM & 128GB memory has been priced RMB 1,999 (around $300). There’s a Helio X20 powered variant of the Redmi Pro too. It sports  3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage and costs RMB 1,499 (around $225). The Redmi Pro will be made available in Gold, Silver, and Dark Grey colour variants and will go on sale in China starting 8th August.

We’ll soon come up with a detailed review of this device, so stay tuned.
