The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has been a kind of the-jewel-in-the-crown kind of a smartphone for Xiaomi this year. The phone has got appreciation from all over the world for offering killer specs and features at an equally killer price. The phone became a benchmark for other budget phone manufacturers, and among them was Lenovo too.
The Lenovo K4 Note was released a few months back and became one of the most-wanted phones in India. The device, just like the Redmi Note 3, came with irresistible specs at an equally irresistible price. But that also created confusion between buyers as to which phone they should pick.
So let’s do a quick comparison and try to find out which smartphone triumphs the other. Do note that we are considering the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 3 that comes with Snapdragon chipset.
Lenovo K4 Note vs. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
Design and Display
The Redmi Note 3 comes with a full-metal design that looks premium and well above the price tag that it carries. The metal unibody is curved at the right edges and makes the phone feel good in your hands. The Lenovo K4 Note has a matte plastic back with a metal strip running around the edges of the phone, and it also feels good in the hands. Both the phones look good and come with 5.5-inch FullHD screens.
Processor and Memory
The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal expandable memory. The Redmi Note 3 is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor clocked at up to 1.8GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
Do note that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 in China runs on a faster Helio X10 processor and also gets a 3GB RAM variant too with 32GB storage.
Camera, Battery, and Extras
Both the phones get a 5MP front camera. But the Redmi Note 3 gets a 16MP rear camera and the K4 Note gets a 13MP rear camera. Of course, both the phones perform well enough for their price.
The K4 Note gets a 3300mAh battery, while the Redmi Note 3 flaunts a 4000mAh battery. Both the phones get fingerprint sensors.
Verdict
If you are in India, getting the Lenovo K4 Note would be a better bet as it comes with 1GB more RAM than the Indian-variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. However, if you want a full-metal phone with a premium look, then go for the Redmi Note 3.
