Xiaomi‘s most recent launch was the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which is the perfect budget phablet you can get for around $200. The Chinese smartphone maker is going to unveil its next flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 later in February. So to fill the time, the company is going to launch the Xiaomi Redmi 3, which will be the successor to the popular Redmi 2.
The specifications and images of the Redmi 3 have been leaked on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging site. The mid-range smartphone will be seen featuring a 5-inch HD screen, and will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor. Speculations say that it might be one of the Snapdragon 61x chipsets under the hood.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 will support 4G LTE, and will carry 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. In the camera department, the phone will flaunt a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP frotn snapper. The phone will get a metal body and will be juiced by a 4,000mAh battery.
The pricing details for the Redmi 3 are still unknown, but we’re sure it will be under the $150 range. The phone has already passed TENAA and is said to get launched on January 12th, which is next week. A perfect Chinese New Year gift from Xiaomi!
