The specifications and images of the Redmi 3 have been leaked on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging site. The mid-range smartphone will be seen featuring a 5-inch HD screen, and will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor. Speculations say that it might be one of the Snapdragon 61x chipsets under the hood.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 will support 4G LTE, and will carry 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. In the camera department, the phone will flaunt a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP frotn snapper. The phone will get a metal body and will be juiced by a 4,000mAh battery.

The pricing details for the Redmi 3 are still unknown, but we’re sure it will be under the $150 range. The phone has already passed TENAA and is said to get launched on January 12th, which is next week. A perfect Chinese New Year gift from Xiaomi!
