The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro was released during mid-2015 and the speculation market has been abuzz for a while considering the fact that it is almost time for its successor Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro to arrive. We were getting to hear bits and chips about the upcoming Mi device here and there but since nothing concrete had turned up yet so we better thought to keep our mouths shut.
But finally, we have some news. According to a Chinese tabloid, the Mi Note 2 Pro is very much on the paper and may get unveiled somewhere in August this year. One of the most interesting pieces of information that the tipster has leaked is that the Mi Note 2 Pro will be powered by the recently unveiled Snapdragon 821 SoC processor.
The Mi Note 2 Pro will sport an FHD 5.5-inch AMOLED display. The device will reportedly feature a 12 MP rear camera and is supposed to be fueled by a huge 3700 mAh battery. Also according to the tipster, Xiaomi may launch two versions of Mi Note 2 Pro, one with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage and an another version with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Like all other recently launched high-end smartphones, this will also come with a fingerprint scanner, most likely on the front portion of the device as in the Xiaomi Mi5. Mi Note 2 Pro is expected to get an official launch sometime in August this year.
Additionally, in another report, highly sought after Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has been claimed to bear a price tag of CNY2,499 for the 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant and CNY 2,999 for the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant.
