Xiaomi Mi 5 has been the hot topic of discussion since it started leaking out a few months ago. Various speculations have tried to guess the launch date of the company’s next flagship. However, the latest development regarding the phone seems to clear all our doubts. It is being said that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be unveiled on 24th November.

A post on the MIUI forum has revealed an image, which looks like a press event invitation by Xiaomi for a new product launch. This invitation is circulating on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo. For those who don’t understand Chinese, the invitation says that the event will be held at the China National Convention Center on November 24. The company will also be selling 500 tickets for the event from tomorrow, which can be purchased by Mi fans in China for CNY 199 (approx. US $31).

Though the invitation hasn’t mentioned anything about the product that is going to be launched, we all know that the start of the event will be the Xiaomi Mi 5. The Xiaomi Gemini was recently spotted on GeekBench, and it might as well be the codename for Mi 5. According to the GeekBench test, the phone carries a 5.2-inch QHD LCD screen, 16MP rear camera, 13MP front shooter, Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996), and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phone will carry an Ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor, and might also come with a USB Type-C port. Rumors say that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will cost around $314.

TENAA has recently certified the Redmi Note 2 Pro, while the Mi Pad 2 has been seen on GeekBench. Xiaomi may also launch these phones at the upcoming event, so let’s wait until November 24th arrives.
