WWE 2K17 was in the news recently when fans criticized 2K Games for making the pre-order exclusive Goldberg DLC available for download. The fans were furious that the exclusivity of “pre-order” bonus was now being made available for everybody at $4.99 within just a month of the game’s release. After Goldberg DLC, another DLC has arrived for WWE 2K17.
This time, the King of Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura is available for download. This comes as part of NXT Enhancement Pack. In addition to Nakamura character unlock, the pack gives players access to Apollo Crews and Nia Jax. But the DLC isn’t free. The NXT Enhancement Pack is being made available for $9.99, $5 higher than Goldberg DLC.
The new DLC is however only available for PS4 and Xbox One. It remains to be seen how fans will react to the pricing of the new DLC. Goldberg DLC – priced at $4.99 – evoked furious responses from players, who asked if the price is worth the content the DLC offered. The same sentiments may reflect for this update, given that it’s priced higher. But the consolation here is that the NXT Enhancement Pack also offers 50 percent boost in points, something which wasn’t part of the Goldberg DLC. The 50% percent boost applies to points acquired while competing at NXT during MyCareer.
There’s also a $4.99 DLC available for last-gen consoles. This pack is called NXT Legacy Pack and includes access to Nakamura, Jax, and Crews. However, it doesn’t include the 50% points boost that comes with $9.99 NXT Enhancement Pack.
