Microsoft is rolling out Windows 10 PC insider build 14316 to fast ring members, and everyone anticipated the same number Windows 10 Mobile build to follow since in the last couple of months desktop and phone releases have always been in sync and shipped together.
The reason for not releasing the Windows 10 Mobile 14316 in tandem with PC build is the cellular breaking cellular data bug which won’t allow users to utilize mobile data plan for browsing the internet. Since a vast number of users run insiders build on their primary smartphones, such a bug would dampen the user experience tremendously.
This news broke out from official Windows Insider Program Twitter handle, which revealed that “we found a breaking bug on Mobile that prevented release for both. We’re working on a breaking bug related to cellular data.”
Even, Jason, a program manager at Microsoft confirmed the issue from his twitter account and said that the bug was found at the very last minute which resulted in holding back the mobile build release until some time later.
“Unfortunately no,” he said when asked whether a new build could be released for mobile insiders too. “We were hoping to, but found a breaking bug in Mobile yesterday. Couldn’t release it with it. Imagine not having cellular data.”
Though the software giant couldn’t keep the sync for PC and mobile build, the company is very much focused on keeping the program intact. Upcoming Windows 10 Mobile build is expected to bring a host of new features that includes Skype Universal app and much more.
As of now, there is no information regarding the date for Windows 10 Mobile build 14316 release, but it’s just a matter of time before Microsoft starts rolling out the same once the critical bugs are omitted.
