The free WhatsApp messenger has got a new beta update, which bumps the version number to 2.16.67. The new update doesn’t bring anything major except few minor bug fixes. If you like testing new apps before others receive it on their device, you can download the free APK from trusted mirror websites like apkpure.com.
The latest WhatsApp APK download version 2.16.67 comes in a 28MB file, and it supports all devices running Android 2.1 and later versions. It is worth noting that the new version might be sluggish or buggy as it is still in beta version. But you can always roll-back to stable release by installing it from Google Play Store.
WhatsApp got a lot of new features recently, including the document-sharing option, so we don’t think any new feature is coming soon. But of course, the highly expected video calling feature in WhatsApp is rumored to be releasing soon, probably within a month or two, so we should all be waiting for that.
