Vivo has announced a new smartphone in India by the name Vivo V5s. The smartphone launch happened at a dedicated event in Gurugram. It carries a price tag of Rs. 18,990, with pre-orders starting from today itself.
Vivo V5s Features, Specifications, Price and Everything else
The latest offering from Vivo sports a 5.5-Inch HD screen diagonal with 2.5D Curved Glass sheet on top. It is powered by 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor with 4 Gigs of RAM. Internal storage of the Vivo V5s stands at 64 GB with expandable capabilities of up to 256 Gigabyte via micro-SD card. It’s a hybrid dual-sim setup with Android 6.0 Marshmallow skinned with Funtouch OS 3.0.
On the camera front, you will find a 13 MP rear shooter with PDAF and dual-LED flash. It is on the front, where things get interesting. Users get a 20 MP selfie camera with a ‘Moonlight Glow’ front light and a f/2.0 aperture. This isn’t the first time that a front lens has succeeded in a Vivo offering. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Micro-USB with OTG, GPS/ A-GPS. All this is powered by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery.
Coming to dimensions, the handset measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55 mm and tips the weighing scale at 154 grams. The first sale for Vivo V5s will happen on May 6 with Matte Black color variant. In case you want to purchase the Crown Gold color variant, the sale happens two weeks later on May 20.
It’s difficult to understand Vivo strategy with V5s. The handset doesn’t offer compelling specs at Rs. 18,990, neither brings a new design to the table. However, with so much marketing in place along with selfie craze throughout the nation, we won’t be surprised to see the device secure decent sales in near future.
