The much-hyped Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC 5 Zombies Chronicles is finally announced officially to release on May 16, 2017. The game’s lead developer Jason Blundell from Treyarch has recently confirmed it.

Jason Blundell recently confirmed it to a YouTuber named as JCBackfire that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC 5 Zombies Chronicles will release on May 16, 2017, on PlayStation 4. However, there is a bad news for Xbox fans as the Xbox One users have to wait for a later release. Check out the confirmation video below.

If you are a PC gamer, it may disappoint you that the DLC either isn’t coming on PC or it might be delayed more than the Xbox One launch. It is also possible that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC 5 Zombies Chronicles will be released on Xbox One and PC on the same day. Treyarch has yet to confirm the Zombies Chronicles release date on both of these platforms.

Furthermore, no information about any other platform release is out by the developer. As for the PS4 fans, they’re in for a fantastic treat as they will be able to enjoy the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC 5 Zombies Chronicles on the same day of its release.

According to Jason Blundell, all the fans will be able to enjoy a total of Eight original maps. Fans will also be able to enjoy some maps from the critically acclaimed titles World at War as well. Following are the words of Jason Blundell;

“What we’ve done is a loving fan-service piece by making eight of the original maps. Going back from World at War all the way through.

We’ve lovingly recreated and remastered eight of the original maps.”

The Newly Included maps in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC 5 Zombies Chronicles are

  • Call of Duty: World at War – Nacht Der Untoten, Verrukt, and Shi No Num
  • The Call of Duty: Black Ops – Kino Der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-la, and Moon
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – Origins

The Treyarch are also planning for a Livestream for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC 5 Zombies Chronicles. More information on the latest DLC will also be revealing on the Livestream. The Livestream is will be airing on Monday, May 8, 2017, at 11 am ET and 2 pm PT. As Blundell suggests, on the Livestream, the developers will also talk about some other celebrations as well that they have planned for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
