Microsoft released Windows 10 Mobile a few months back for a selected range of Windows smartphones. Many old smartphones had been left out of the first phase of Windows 10 Mobile rollout. Gabriel Aul of the Windows Insider program had told the media earlier that although there won’t be any second wave of Windows 10 Mobile update rollout, but few devices like Nokia Lumia Icon were still under consideration.
Microsoft has kept its promise and much to the delight of the Nokia Lumia Icon owners, one of the USA’s largest carrier, Verizon has started rolling out the latest Windows 10 Mobile OS for the Verizon Nokia Lumia Icon. Nokia Lumia Icon was released back in the year 2014 and is one of the very few Windows phone to be sold by a major US carrier like Verizon.
Verizon has started rolling out the update over the air (OTA) and the users are expected to get the OTA update notification very soon. The roll out is being conducted in phases so don’t get worried if you haven’t received the update yet as it may take some time to reach all the regions.
If you have already received the Windows 10 update on your Nokia Lumia Icon, share your experience in comments below.
