Uplay Services are down. Games such as For Honor, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Rainbow Six Siege are facing a full server outage.
A few hours ago, players started reporting problems with games such as For Honor, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Rainbow Six Siege. The problems with server started to affect more and more players who were using the Online Uplay Services.
Because of the sudden server outage and multiple complaints, Ubisoft immediately started to trace the problem and they are working to resolve the issues. Following are the Ubisoft’s statements regarding the issues.
We are investigating an issue with accessing some of our online services. Our technical teams are still working on the issue. We ask for your patience in the meantime.
Games that are affected by this sudden server failure are the most played and mega titles of this year. The games include For Honor, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Rainbow Six Siege.
There is no current ETA and any further word from the Ubisoft on how much time will it take to resolve the issue. The latest news on the Uplay is that the publishers are still working to resolve the issues as soon as possible.
It is also unclear that what happened to the Uplay services or what actually caused this massive problem of today’s Uplay servers’ outage. Earlier today, a routine maintenance period was scheduled for the Uplay services. According to the routine maintenance message, many games were to stay offline during that period. Nobody has confirmed that whether this problem was caused by this routine maintenance or was there something else that caused it.
According to Uplay on Routine Maintenance
During this time players may be disconnected from the multiplayer portions of their games. And from Uplay PC and be unable to reconnect to them or to other online features, services, forums, and websites. (Single player and offline modes should still be available, minus leaderboards).
Another server knocking fact could possibly be Ubisoft’s cancellation of some of the routine gaming events. However, there is no confirmation about that too.
A brief message from the For Honor team suggests that
Warriors, we’re having to bump today’s Warrior’s Den stream back, and hope to do one later this week instead. We will keep you updated!” a message from the For Honor team reads.
As Ubisoft is working on this particular issue from several past hours, it is possible that there will be a new update provided soon. Hopefully, this new update (If it’s released) will resolve this issue with several others.
