Fans have since quite a while ago brought up that video game voice performing artist Nolan North looks somewhat like one of his most popular characters. That is Nathan Drake in Uncharted 4. Besides, in the most current issue of Edge Magazine, North depicted how foggy the line between his genuine and advanced selves has truly ended up.
Uncharted 4 Actually Used Nolan North’s Face For Drake
“They mapped my face for Uncharted 4,” North said. “Each wrinkle is mine, all above his bone structure. That is my face, for god’s sakes.” And we recognize what you’re considering. That is quite recently facial movement animation. The business has been doing it for a considerable length of time. However, this is not the case here.
Already, Naughty Dog would catch an on-screen character’s developments by recording an on-screen character’s face. At that point, they utilize the recording as a reference for hand-animating the characters. The tech North is alluding to actually transplants his face onto Drake’s skull exactly, wrinkles and what not.
Right now, there’s, unfortunately, no recording of said North’s face-swapping. However, we can see the technology in action thanks to a demo showing off animation tools used for The Last of Us Part 2.
