After several leaks and being touted as the most secure Android smartphone, the Umi Iron Pro has finally launched. Here are the official details provided by the company.
The UMi Iron Pro comes with a Full HD 5.5-inch display and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 octa-core 1.3GHz processor, the phone is coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB expandable storage (up to 64GB). The phone comes with dual-SIM support, and second SIM slot function as a microSD card slot too. So either you can use dual SIM or one SIM along with memory card.
In terms of connectivity, the Iron Pro features a 802.11n dual-band Wi-Fi adapter, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, and GPS.
The photography section includes a 13-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX214 sensor along with an 8-megapixel OV8850 front-facing shooter for selfies. It is worth mentioning that the front camera used by the Iron Pro is same unit which is present in Google Nexus 6, so you can safely assume high quality output.
The UMi Iron Pro is the world’s first smartphone with three layer of security, namely iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, and voice recognition unlock function. A 3300 mAh battery should be able to keep the device running for a whole day.
Going by the high-end specifications, enhanced security level, and impressive design, the phone is priced very competitively, and should give a tough competition to most of big brand offerings. Carrying $179.99 tag, the UMi Iron Pro will be available in Rose Gold color option too, similar to iPhone 6s and the Note5.
