The newest addition to UMi’s smartphone portfolio, the UMi Diamond, was unveiled on Monday. And now, less than a week after the launch, the entry-level handset has entered the pre-sale phase.

The company announced yesterday that it was making available the UMi Diamond for a price of just $99 during the pre-sale period. However, considering that the discounted price will be applicable to the first 200 buyers only, you might want to stop deliberating immediately and act fast. Once the limited-stock pre-sale offer is over, you will have to spend $30 extra to purchase the handset at its original price of $119.99.

UMi touts the UMi Diamond as a compact and resilient phone with charming looks. As for the performance, the device brings you the MediaTek 6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with the option of adding extra using a microSD card, a decent 2650 mAh battery, 8MP primary camera, and 2MP front camera.

Powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the UMi Diamond comes with a 5-inch HD screen protected by the new T2X-1 glass protection technology.

Unlike some other contemporary products in its league, the dual-sim UMi Diamond specs include a dedicated microSD card slot. This essentially means that with the device you do not really have to vacate one of the sim slots in order to accommodate extra storage.
