Meizu has started offering Meizu MX4 Ubuntu version in China. The high-end smartphone running on Linux will be available in gold or white color scheme for ¥1,799 (approximately US$290).
Like its Android version, Meizu MX4 has the same specifications. With 5.56inch IPS display, 1920×1152 pixel resolution, it is powered by MediaTek MT6595 chipset with an octa-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. It will also feature 20.7MP rear snapper.
Unlike Android, Ubuntu will offer context-specific content as an alternative of organizing the apps in a grid arrangement. The information provided will be in “scopes” format which collate the service. Ubuntu will provide you complete control over this through customization where you can select which service will be tagged to which scope.
