Nintendo doesn’t have an official launch date for the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Wii U, and no release date or mention of the Switch version yet. If The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is in 1080p 60fps on the Switch, players will buy it regardless of the date. And even more, if it launches with the very rumored ultimate super smash bros 4. But the most important thing is that the machine can guarantee 1080p 60 fps in all games.

Could The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild be delayed to release alongside the Nintendo Switch?

It’s likely that the Wii U version will release a few weeks after the Switch version. That’s exactly what they did with Twilight Princess – the Wii version came to the US in Nov. 2006 and the Gamecube version wasn’t released until December.

Getting BoTW on Switch depends on how much of a visual improvement it has over the Wii U one. Also, whichever one has a motion control option for combat like Skyward Sword (especially the sword fighting). Leaks have confirmed there will be motion sensing in some form. The LCD screen will be multi-touch, and there will be motion sensing to emulate that on the big screen. Also, there is IR sensor on the bottom of the right joycon. These rumors are from leakers who got info from the same sources that said the NX was a hybrid with a dock, using cartridges, 6-inch screen, is partnering up with Nvidia, and more months before the reveal.

The Wii U dropped in price before any real games were ever released. So there is a reason to delay purchasing the Switch or any new tech for that matter. If nothing appeals to enough people and if it sells poorly, Nintendo could drop the price significantly to boost sales. Win-win, you got a console for a cheaper price, and you sacrificed almost nothing.
