Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ has been upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat by most carriers in the US. The list includes AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon, barring the T-Mobile. And in case, you happen to be on that network with S6 Edge+, fret not, as the Nougat update from T-Mobile is just around the corner.

The same was reported by T-Mobile’s product manager @AskDes on twitter. The tweet read that Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ from T-Mobile has been approved, and shall start rolling this week.

It’s good to see that Samsung and T-Mobile have made the effort to upgrade the two-year-old flagship to the latest operating system. Just to remind, Samsung started rolling out the Nougat firmware for unlocked Galaxy S6 Edge+ devices in March itself.

Not much was revealed in the tweet, other than the scheduling. In fact, not even the exact date was shared. However, one can expect to receive all the Nougat features with added upgrades from Samsung.

Features like Multi-window, new Vulkan API, Doze on the Go, and more will definitely improve the overall experience on the Note device. The latest release should also include the monthly security patch from Google, however, will it be for the month of March or April, only time will tell.

We will update this space, once more info surfaces on the topic.
