T-Mobile has introduced a new budget Samsung offering in the name of Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime. Even though it’s a budget smartphone, it runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Other than T-Mobile, users can locate the J3 Prime at MetroPCS in the US. Let’s dig into the details.
Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime is no powerhouse but offers decent specs in the launched price segment. It offers 5-Inch HD display with 720 X 1280 pixels resolution. Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime is powered by in-house 1.4 GHz Exynos 7570 processor with 1.5 Gigs of RAM. One would have hoped for at least 2 GB RAM in 2017, nevertheless, if the experience is good, no harms. There is 16 GB of internal storage further expandable up to 128 Gigs via micro-SD card. The USP lies in Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Samsung Skin on top.
Coming to the camera department, Samsung seems conservative with 5 MP rear and 2 MP front shooters. All this is powered by a 2600mAh battery which seems good enough for HD display. As for the dimensions, the J3 Prime measures 139.7 x 69.85 x 8.89 mm and weight at 148 grams. Connectivity wise the handset includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, USB, LTE, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.1.
The phone Description by Samsung reads, “The smartphone that does everything you love and still fits your budget. Enjoy all your photos and videos on a vibrant 5-inch HD display and get to everything quickly with the streamlined layout of Easy Mode.”
Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime Price
The J3 Prime has been priced at $150 (around Rs. 9,600) in the US. But, T-Mobile users can avail benefits of up to $75 with the new handset purchase.
Overall, it’s a decent offering for the said price and seems a valid option for first-time smartphone adopters. As far as the international availability is concerned, Samsung hasn’t disclosed any details. We will update this space once more information on the topic surfaces.
