If the rumours are to be believed, Micromax is coming up with an all new Yu device anytime soon. This device will be the successor to the Micromax Yu Yureka Plus. The device has already been spotted on a benchmark listing as well as on an import/ export website listing.
Zauba, an Indian import/ export site, has listed a new Yu smartphone as shipped on March 21 carrying model number Yu5200. The Yu5200 was shipped from China and carried a price tag of Rs. 9,036. These prices which have been declared on the Zauba are, however, only declared prices and usually the market prices differ a lot.
The Yu5200 was also spotted on the GFXBench where most of its specs and hardware configurations have been listed. The device sports a 5.2-inch FHD display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with Adreno 405 and 3GB of RAM. The device offers 16GB of internal storage and sports a 13MP/ 5MP primary and secondary camera configurations.
Yu, a subsidiary of Micromax had earlier launched its smartphone Yu Yutopia in December last year. Yu Yutopia is a flagship device and is adorned with top of the line hardware specs. The device is built with aircraft-grade aluminium and gives a very premium look and feel. The Yu Yutopia sports a 5.2-inch QHD Sharp OGS TP OGS display with a pixel density of 565 PPI. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC and features a 21MP rear Sony sensor. The device also features a fingerprint sensor which can also be used for taking selfies and is priced at Rs. 24,999.
Yu Televentures started rolling out an OTA update for the Yu Yutopia last month bringing security improvements and bug fixes.
