Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe has announced in his latest blog post that he is working on Version 1.1 of the farming game, and that this one will be a “substantial content upgrade”. Read on to find out what’s going to be added to the game in this update.

The update will add more late-game content, new farm buildings (including the ability to move buildings), new crops and artisan goods as well as advanced farming and producing mechanics and improvements to mining and combat. As for romance and NPCs, Shane and Emily will now be marriage candidates, and they will have more events and dialogue. There will also be more marriage content for all spouses now, as well as more events for non-marriage NPCs.

Apart from these major changes, there will be bug fixes, convenience features, and “small, fun touches to the world”. Of course, everything in this list is, according to ConcernedApe, “subject to change”. The developer does not mention when the update will go live, but considering the heavy workload, it will likely be a while before it’s ready.
