A long time ago, in a development studio not so far away, LucasArts was planning a Star Wars game that would essentially serve as an Episode VII to the franchise, and apparently it starred Luke Skywalker’s son.

According to Cinelinx, the game, titled “Star Wars Episode VII: Shadows of the Sith” would have put you in the role of Ben Skywalker as he walked the thin line between the light and dark sides of the Force. This ties into the “Expanded Universe” of Star Wars (now relegated to the ‘Legends’ canon), in which Luke Skywalker had a son with Mara Jade, named Ben Skywalker. Interestingly, the villain of the story, ‘a new threat to the galaxy’, would be a Solo.

The game would have featured never before seen Force powers, but it seems it never made it past the pitching stage, and many of its ideas were later reused for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. And at least one idea found its way to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, although I’ll keep a lid on the spoilers for now.

Would you have been interested in Shadows of the Sith, if it was ever produced? Let us know in the comments below.
