Sony has launched its flagship device the Xperia Z5 Premium in Canada. The smartphone is available through Bell Communications at $749.99 off-contract or at $299.99 on a 2-year contract.

The Xperia Z5 premium has added perks to Sony’s Z Series. It sports a 5.5 inch IPS LCD at 4k resolution, surely an eye candy for the users. Under the hood it has the powerful Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset along with Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53, Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 and Adreno 430 GPU. With 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable up to 200GB, the device possess high-end features.

sony_xperia_z5_premiumOn the photography front, the Z5 Premium has a 23MP rear camera with 2160p@30fps video recording and a 5.1MP front-facing camera. The device supports LTE CAT.4, CAT.6 connectivity with speeds up to 300Mbps.

On the build side, the Z5 Premium actually adds a premium tag to the series. The dual-glass styling is still present along with the new mirror rear finish and metal frame. A Fingerprint sensor is integrated with the lock key on the right. The Z5 premium measures 154.4 x 75.8 x 7.8 mm and weighs in at 180g.

The smartphone is on sale in the US too, although not announced and can be bought from Amazon and Expansys at $780 approx. It is also available in Europe through Sony as well as other retailers. Priced differently in different countries, it can be bought at just £629 in the UK, €829 in Italy, €899 in Greece, and €799 in most other countries.
