Sony’s flagship smartphone – Xperia XZ – that was unveiled last month is now available on Amazon India for Rs. 49,990. Featuring a 5.20 inch 1080×1920 resolution display, the phone sports the powerful quad-core Snapdragon 820 and packs in 3GB RAM. The Xperia XZ comes with 64GB built-in storage and offers ample storage space.

Xperia XZ’s Stunning Camera Specs

3GB RAM and 64GB storage have more or less become the norm for most flagship phones today. What sets the Sony Xperia XZ apart is its camera. The 23MP rear camera comes with Triple image sensing technology, 5 axis image stabilization, 4K video recording in addition 0.6 sec Quick launch and capture. Xperia XZ’s three rear camera sensors can track and predict the movement of objects in the frame. This technology greatly reduces the chances of blurred shots. In low-light conditions, the 23MP Exmor RS sensor – backed by Sony’s own ‘Bionz for mobile’ image processor – provides high-quality images by using laser autofocus sensor, which gives the camera an edge when it comes to locking focus on objects. In addition to all these great features, the camera also offers you manual control over focusing and shutter speed.

When a smartphone sports a 23MP rear camera, it’s quite natural to expect a high MP camera on the front. And Xperia XZ doesn’t disappoint. The 13MP wide-angle front camera, according to Sony, comes with Exmor RS sensor that’s 2.6 times bigger than the selfie camera that you get to see in normal smartphones. From an initial glance at the camera specs, it does look like Sony Xperia XZ definitely has an edge over competing flagship smartphones.

Display and Battery

The 5.2-inch display sports full-HD Triluminous technology, X-reality for mobile picture engine, Dynamic Contrast Enhancement and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Xperia XZ comes is fueled by a 2,900mAh battery with STAMINA mode, Quick charging. Xperia XZ’s Smart Battery care learns from your charging habits and optimizes battery health. STAMINA mode helps you choose for how long you want your Smartphone running and helps you save battery when traveling.

OS, Connectivity, and Audio

Xperia XZ comes with Android Marshmallow and supports dual SIM (nano + nano), dual-standby (4G + 3G), LTE and VoLTE. Bluetooth, WiFI hotspot are supported by default. Xperia XZ comes with USB Type-C which provides faster data transfer and quick charging. When it comes to Audio, Xperia XZ supports Hi-Res Audio playback. It also has DSEE HX to upscale any content to Hi-Res quality delivering rich, studio-quality audio experience. To provide better audio reception quality while on calls, the Digital Noise canceling function detects ambient noise using the built-in microphone and outputs anti-phase sound to reduce the noise.
