Sony has been facing tough competition in the smartphone market for a while now. In a move to boost sales, the Japanese company has slashed the prices of Xperia Z5 Premium Dual and Xperia X by INR 15,000 and INR 10,000, respectively. The Xperia Z5 Premium Dual was launched in late October 2015 at a exorbitant price of INR 62,990, while the Xperia X Dual was launched in May this year at INR 48,990. The Xperia Z5 Premium Dual and Xperia X are now available at INR 47,990 and INR 38,990, respectively.
The Xperia Z5 Premium Dual sports a 5.5-inch screen with a pixel density of 806 ppi. It is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor along with 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage. The premium smartphone features a 23MP camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor, 0.03 sec Hybrid Auto-Focus, and 5X Clear Image Zoom. There is also a wide-angle 5MP front camera on board. snapper on the front. The smartphone is backed by a 3,430 mAh battery and comes with QuickCharge v2.0 technology as well. The company claims that the smartphone can run for up to two days with single full-charge.
The Xperia X sports a 5.0-inch TRILIMINOS display with a full HD resolution and a pixel density of 441ppi. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa-core processor, an Adreno 510 GPU, and 3GB RAM. It runs Android Marshmallow OS. The Single SIM variant comes with 32GB internal storage, while the Dual-SIM variant comes with 64GB internal memory [expandable up to 200GB]. The smartphone sports a 23MP with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, predictive hybrid auto-focus, quick launch (less than 0.03 seconds), 5x clear image zoom, 24mm wide-angle G Lens F2.0 aperture and Pulse LED flash. There is also a 13MP front camera with 1/3-inch Exmor RS sensor, Quick launch (less than 0.03 seconds) and a 22mm wide-angle lens. It is backed by a 2620mAh battery.
