Sony Xperia X Compact is now available on sale in the UK. The smartphone has been released a week ahead of the schedule. Although the pre-orders have been available since the beginning of the month. The Sony Xperia X Compact has been priced at £359.99 [approx. 31,800].
The Sony Xperia X Compact sports a 4.6-inch display with HD resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 650 processor along with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage [expandable via a microSD card]. It runs Android Marshmallow out of the box.
The new smartphone comes equipped with a 23-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. Other features include a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint scanner. It is backed by a 2,700mAh battery.
The Xperia X Compact is being offered by the Carphone Warehouse and EE. The O2 and Vodafone networks are also offering the new smartphone with contracts. Monthly data plans have been priced between £28 and £35 per month, depending on the package.
The Carphone Warehouse is offering a SIM-free smartphone for £28 per month with a 24-month contract. The EE contract plans start at £28.49 with nothing down for 500MB of data. However, the smartphone with a 20GB plan will cost £50.99 per month with £0 up front.
