Skyrim Special Edition Patch 1.1 summary

There are general performance and optimization improvements. A rare issue with NPCs not appearing in proper locations is fixed. An issue with interface elements not appearing correctly on certain displays (Xbox One and PS4) is also fixed. The issue with saves erroneously being marked as Modded, even though no mods are active is fixed as well. Some sound files are updated to not use compression.

If you’ve never played the original (shame on you) then yes absolutely buy this game. Get it for PC first and foremost if you can. If you can’t, then get it for Xbox One. If you can’t get it there either, then get it for PS4 but unfortunately you’re missing out on some of the best stuff of you aren’t playing it. It’s still worth it though, just because the game is that good. That being said, if you have played it before, don’t waste your money if you owned it on PC or only have a PS4 for the re-master.

If you own a PC then you can get a better experience from the original and a plethora of already completed mods. If you only own a PS4, then you aren’t getting enough in terms of new stuff to justify a re-buy. If you played it originally on the console and are getting it on the Xbox One then go for it. Get your first taste of the awesomeness of modding and then go buy a good gaming PC because you now understand. Let us know your thoughts about the Skyrim Special Edition in the comments.
