Shokugeki no Soma season 2 ended back in 2016 and since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next one to arrive. Season 2 was better than the first season of the series as it showcased how the main protagonist, Yukihira Soma managed to improve his skills. The last arc of season 2 was Stagiaire Arc, in which students were sent to the food industry to improve their cooking skills. At the end of the arc, it was revealed that for the very first time, the results were of the first years and second years were the same. This indicated that the first years were on the same level as the second years. The season ended with Soma stating that he will face any shokugeki challenge and will not lose. His determination suggested that all the hard work finally paid off.

As for Shokugeki no Soma season 3, rumor is that it will focus on how Soma will manage to save the research society while keeping himself intact with the Polar Star Dormitory. It is said that Azami will become the headmaster of the Totsuki Academy. This will become a big problem for a lot of people because if he becomes the headmaster, he will most probably do everything to create the Central Division. Because of this, he will shut down all the other research societies. Fans can also expect to see a big new surprise as the daughter of Azami, Erina might transfer to the Polar Star Dormitory.
Shokugeki no Soma Season 3 Ova To Be Released This Year
Along with this, fans will be happy to know that an OVA of Shokugeki no Soma will be released this year. The OVA will most probably showcase some fun moments, like some challenges Soma will have to complete. A few ecchi scenes are also rumored to be presented in the OVA.
