As part of the Trade in, Trade up program, Microsoft will pay you if you are ready to part ways with your beloved Mac, iPad or iPhone in exchange for a new Surface Pro 4, Windows Tablet or a new Surface Book. In its statement about the limited-time offer, Microsoft said – “If you have a Mac but want to experience the ultimate laptop with on-screen touch, Surface and Microsoft Store are here for you.”
While the new Trade in, Trade up program seems to be enticing, it remains to be seen how many Apple product users are actually willing to exchange their Apple products for Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4, Windows Pro 4 or the new Surface Book. It’s not that easy for Apple fans to ditch their Mac and transition to Microsoft products, no matter how attractive the product/offer is. Apple has established itself as a niche, elite brand that launches sophisticated out-of-the-world products. Apple loyalists will not likely opt for this program.
How To Determine The Exchange Price
That said, if you are willing to exchange your Mac or other Apple products, here’s the process to determine the value of your old Apple device –
1. Head straight to Microsoft’s Trade In Website. Select the device from the list.
2. Describe the condition of your current Apple device (the one you wish to exchange) with Yes/No answers.
3. After filling in all the answers, select “Get Quote.“
4. You now get to see the exchange price for your Apple device. For example, when we checked, iPad Pro 256GB in good working condition showed $455.
