Samsung is intending to start a Tizen based smartphone named Samsung Z1 in India this month. The device will be priced under INR 6000, and will be launched at Press Conference on December 10.
As we can see price, Z1 is going to be a budget smartphone with features including 4.0 inch display, 800 x 480 resolution, 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB in-built memory, 3.2 MP camera, Dual SIM Support and FM radio.
The news comes few months after the Samsung Z, the South Korean firm’s first Tizen powered smartphone, was trashed only a few days before its scheduled start in Russia. Samsung said at that time it needed further improvement.
If you are not aware, Tizen OS is developed by Linux Foundation, Tizen Association, Intel and Samsung, and is seemingly part of Samsung’s attempt to lessen its dependence on the Android platform of Google.
