Samsung had earlier launched its mid-range offerings, Samsung Galaxy On5 and the Galaxy On7 late last year. The devices got a warm reception from the fans and keeping the considerable success of these devices, the Korean tech giant has just launched the successors or shall I call a slightly upgraded version of these devices in the form of Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro and Galaxy On7 Pro.
To put it very bluntly, the new pro versions of the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 don’t bring much except for the latest Android Marshmallow and a few minor boosts in the hardware department.
The Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro sports a 5-inch TFT LCD display and is powered by the same quad-core Exynos 3475 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with the Mali-T720 GPU which powered the Galaxy On5. The RAM has seen a slight improvement from 1.5GB to 2GB and the inbuilt storage has been doubled from 8GB to 16GB.
The rest of the spec sheet looks exactly similar except for the Android Marshmallow and the new features like the support for S-Bike Mode and Ultra Data Saving Mode which comes with it. The Galaxy On5 Pro also sports the same 8MP rear and 5MP front camera configuration, 2600 mAh battery, dual-SIMs with 4G LTE support among other notable features.
The Galaxy On5 Pro is available on the Amazon India website in Black and Gold colour options at a cost of Rs.9,190 (approx. $137).
The same story is true for the Galaxy On7 Pro. It sports a 5.5-inch HD LCD display and is powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocking at 1.2GHz coupled with Adreno 306 GPU. Again, the RAM has seen a boost to 2GB, while the inbuilt storage to 16GB.
The rest of the specs of the Galaxy On7 Pro including a 13MP primary and 5MP front facing camera configuration, 3,000 mAh battery, dual-SIMs with 4G LTE support remain same.
The Galaxy On7 Pro is available for purchase on Amazon India website in black and gold colour variants at a cost of Rs.11,190 (approx. $167). Do let us know what you think of these devices and stay tuned for more news and updates.
