There have been numerous rumors of Samsung working on a dual-display smartphone, but if the latest one is to go by, such a foldable prototype might enter testing as soon as June this year. The sensational, but yet to be released or announced for that matter, Samsung offering is dubbed as Samsung Galaxy X by the industry experts.

But, before you get too excited, let us tell all these still remain a rumor until something concrete shows up.

However, according to the latest report by The Investor, Samsung is done with the research part and will soon dive into the testing by June. At first, there will be 2000 to 3000 prototypes produced and circulated within the team.

This rumored device, Samsung Galaxy X, will be a high-end offering with two separate OLED panels, foldable up to 180 degrees and connected in the middle by a single hinge. Samsung has even trademarked the “Galaxy X”, adding more value to the rumor. In the very same, The Investor report, an unknown source from Samsung has confirmed the existence of such a project in Samsung house.

“Samsung seems to be testing the waters with the dual-screen device to gather ideas about its upcoming foldable phone,” an industry source said on condition of anonymity.

As for the specs are concerned, you can definitely count on Galaxy X to feature the cutting edge technology from the processor to the camera and what not. But, as it stands now, there are no particular details to share.
