After the exploding Note 7 fiasco, Samsung is all set to make a comeback. While it will take the Korean giant years to re-build the quality image and gain the trust and confidence of ardent Samsung fans, the company is making steady, albeit slow progress. The Korean giant is now gearing up for its next flagship event – the launch of Galaxy Tab S3 next year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 – The Google Pixel C Killer?
If rumors are to be believed, Galaxy Tab S3 will come with insane awesome specs. The tab is likely to come in two variants – Wi-Fi and LTE models and will probably feature an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie shooter. Running on Android Marshmallow, it is likely to be fueled by a 4,000mAh battery. Another rumor hints at two display variants – 9.7 inches and 8 inches.
The tab is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC and will likely come with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable to 128GB. Snapdragon 820’s Adreno GPU is known to beat Google Pixel C’s Nvidia Tegra X1 GPU. Chipset apart, Google Pixel lacks when it comes to storage expansion. Galaxy Tab S3, with an option for expandable storage, is likely to come out as the preferred option. As far as pricing is concerned, initial leaks hint at a price range of $500-$550.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Release Date
Reports hint at a possible Galaxy Tab S3 event during early 2017, alongside Galaxy S8. Though not likely to be launched at a dedicated event, the tab debut may happen during 2017 CES or MWC – two big events Samsung wouldn’t want to miss. It’s very likely that Samsung will debut the new tab during MWC 2017. What do you think about the upcoming Google Pixel C killer? Feel free to post your thoughts in the comments section.
