Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S3 will launch at the IFA 2016, to be held in Berlin from September 2, through a blog post. As expected of any new model, the Tab S3 will feature better specs than its predecessor. However, very little is known about the specs of the upcoming tablet.

According to previous reports, the new tablet is similar to its predecessor in design. A possible change in design will be a sandstone finish on the rear side. It is also rumored that the device will come with an 8-inch AMOLED display, with the possibility of the company adding a 9.7-inch variant, like it did with the Tab S2.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 chipset will power the device, which will run on 3GB RAM coupled with 32GB storage. The storage is expandable through microSD card of up to 128GB. As for the camera, we expect an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP camera for selfies. The device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The price of the Galaxy Tab S3 is hard to predict at the moment. The storage and RAM will affect the price of the various variants of the tablet Samsung plans to release. The 8-inch Galaxy Tab S2 cost $399. We should expect the 8-inch Tab S3 to cost the same or higher.

Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3.
