Well-known leakster KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi has already revealed a lot about what we can expect from the upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Now, another massive leak provides us more details about Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.
Galaxy S8 massive leak reveals 25 new features
The German website WinFuture has listed a vast majority of specs the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are likely to come with.
Processor and RAM
Both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will sport Samsung’s very own Exynos 8895 chip. However, China, Japan, and US variants are likely to come with Qualcomm’s state-of-the-art, top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835. Also, both phones will sport 4GB RAM.
Camera
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will come with an upgraded 8MP secondary camera while the primary cameras are likely to remain at 12MP.
Design and Displays
Galaxy S8 is likely to come with the 5.8-inch display while the Galaxy S8 Plus will have a huge 6.2-inch display. Galaxy S8 will measure 48.9 x 68.1 x 8.0mm. Both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will feature 18.5:9 ultra-wide aspect ratios. This means you can expect resolution up to 2960×2400. However, Samsung may ship both the devices with 1080p as the default resolution in order to save battery life. And perhaps the best part about the displays is the use of Curved OLED for the very fist time in Galaxy S models.
Enhanced Security
Both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will come with the fingerprint scanner that supports gesture recognition, with the added feature of programmable gestures to launch apps. Both phones are expected to come with iris scanner to enhance security.
Storage and connectivity
Both phones are likely to sport 64GB storage. When it comes to connectivity, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will support dual-band gigabit WiFi Support, alongside Bluetooth 4.2. USB Type-C, which is now becoming the mainstream, will be seen on both smartphones. Unlike Apple, which decided to do away with the classic earphone jack, the 3.5mm jack will continue to remain on Samsung smartphones.
Battery
Galaxy S8 is likely to be fueled by 3000mAh battery while Galaxy S8 Plus will be fueled by 3500mAh battery. Both smartphones will support faster wireless charging technology.
Price
Galaxy S8 will launch at €799 while Galaxy S8 Plus is expected to launch at €899. Both the models are likely to be available in Gold, Silver, Blue, Black and Orchid Gray colors.
