The Android 7.0 Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge is already available on Canadian carriers Bell, SaskTell, Eastlink, Virgin Mobile, Freedom Mobile, and Videotron since last week. And now the much-awaited 1.2 GB over-the-air update has made its way to the Rogers and Telus network.
The update adds a host of new and exciting features including a revamped user-interface, more display options, in-line notification replies, multi-window mode, and much more. So, if you are a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge user on Rogers or Telus network, go check your handset’s settings to know if the update is available for you already.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 brings you a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, a 5.1-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a fingerprint sensor, as well as 12MP/8MP cameras.
The bigger and more powerful Galaxy S7 Edge, on the other hand, comes equipped with a slightly larger 5.5-inch curved QHD display, as well as a larger display. The rest of the specs are basically the same as the Galaxy S7. The device is available in three color variants — silver, gold, and blue.
Both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are IP68 certified, meaning they boast dust proof and water resistant body (up to a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 mins). Both carry a fingerprint scanner as part of the home button.
