A lot of smartphone makers have already released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for their yesteryear flagships. Some of those companies have been real quick in rolling out the update, while some have been delaying the update. We are talking about Samsung here, who has kept us waiting since months for the Galaxy S6 Marshmallow update. Thankfully though, the wait has now ended, as the Android 6.0 update for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has been released.
Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Marshmallow update was rolled out a couple of days ago, as announced by Samsung officially on its website. However, a lot of users are still to receive the update. But this is an international roll-out, and it might take a day or two for the update to reach all the devices. If you own a Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge, just be patient as the update is on its way. Alternatively, you can check for the update manually also through the Settings menu.
This update is for the international models of the S6 and S6 Edge. If you have bought the devices from a specific mobile carrier, then you might have to wait for a few more days as carriers decide their own roll-out dates. But considering the fact that the Marshmallow update for the S6 and S6 Edge has been released internationally, carriers won’t be too late in the roll-outs.
The new update brings new Marshmallow features to the phones including Doze, Now on Tap, new permissions, etc. The update for the S6 Edge brings an enhanced edge screen with more edge screen features to make it faster and more useful.
