It is very rare, when a smartphone keeps the people excited round the clock. And, when it happens, nothing compete the new launch of iPhone and Galaxy S devices. However, there is no new iPhone for now, but the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is almost out and reaching to the people very soon. The smartphones have been announced officially at on-going MWC at Barcelona.
After a few poor financial returns of the company, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are not just the name of smartphones, these are the only weapon to keep the company at top spot.

Starting with the Samsung Galaxy S6 – the smartphone has come up with a lot of improvements in terms of design ending the poor quality plastics and colored parts that loses their brilliance in few accidental hits. The new device used solid metal frame round the device with complete Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, which is tough enough to save the smartphone from damages. The glass panels reads fingerprints quickly as well as makes the phone non-slippery and gives a premium feel. The frame is also shaped very carefully to maintain the comfort hold for a longer time.
From the design view, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is solid and well manufactured piece of the company so far. Overall, It stands the best Galaxy device till the time.
The smartphone packs a 5.1 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and mind-blowing ~577 ppi pixel density. The phone uses company’s in-house new Exynos 7420 chipset with Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 processor, and the Mali-T760 is responsible for the graphics. The Galaxy S6 runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
The Galaxy S6 will be available in 32/64/128GB non-expendable internal storage versions with a 3GB of RAM. A non-removable Li-Ion 2550 mAh battery keeps the lights on new Galaxy.
In terms of Camera, the Galaxy S6 features a 16MP OIS shooter with LED flash at rear, which is capable to capture the images up to 3456 x 4608 pixels and records a 2160p video. A 5MP front camera is perfect for selfies and records 1080p videos.
The phone maintains the Galaxy S5’s fingerprint sensor certified with PayPal and additionally offers the new Samsung Pay verified with VISA and MasterCard. The most beautiful thing is the new Magnetic Secure Transmission technology on Samsung Pay, which makes it compatible with shopping terminals. In addition, NFC will take care of contactless payments through terminals that supports the functionality.
Now coming to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge – the smartphone is almost same to Galaxy S6 in terms of specifications. However, the new S6 Edge is the first ever phone to offer the dual-Edge display. We will cover the design and other features of Edge version in our another article.
