Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ got released back in 2015 but the phone is still quite capable and its hardware can still land quite a punch. For all owners of the device living in India, we have some great news. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ finally started getting the latest Android Nougat.
Aside from India, users living in other Asian countries should also get the Nougat update soon. European owners already got the update, and it is now ready for owners residing in India and Sri Lanka. The firmware version is called G928GDDU3CQC7, it weighs in at about 1GB, it is rolled out over-the-air (OTA), and it seems the update will ship in waves.
If you still haven’t received the notification regarding the Nougat update, wait a couple of days or try to check for it manually in the Settings menu. Make sure to have at least 50 percent of the battery before starting the update process, and make sure to install the update while on Wi-Fi.
Android Nougat brings Multitasking, improved notifications, better Doze feature, improved Google keyboard, and more.
The Samsung Galaxy Edge+ packs an octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC, coupled with Mali T760 GPU, it features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a fingerprint sensor, 4 gigs of RAM, and a 16 MP main camera. The handset packs a 3,00 mAh battery and comes with a support for NFC, MTS (for Samsung Pay), Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB 2.0 port, and GPS with GLONASS.
