Samsung Galaxy S5 Active was outmoded when Galaxy S5 was introduced with IP67 protection form water and dust, as Active was supposed to be a series which provides protection from dust and water. With launch of Samsung Galaxy S6 earlier this year without water and dust protection, it was presume that Galaxy S6 Active may see the light of the day with IP67 certification to preserve the device against liquid spills and dirt. This device can be in water for 30 minutes to a depth of 3.28 feet and can still work perfectly as usual.

Till the time Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is announced officially, we have been able to get a sneak preview of profile from User Agent which confirms the model number as SM-G890A. It will support a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440×2560 resolution and pixel density of 577ppi. Powered by Exynos 7420 SoC with an octa-core 2.1GHz CPU and a Mali-T760 M8 GPU, it houses a 3GB of RAM and a whooping 3500mAh battery. It will also feature a 16MP rear snapper and 5MP selfie shooter.
