Samsung has pushed out the December security patch update for the Samsung Galaxy Note5. The update has been rolled out previously for its S6 lineup. This new update will stop the viruses that attack Galaxy devices frequently. Talking about details, the new update for the Galaxy Note5 improves voice calling along with the overall security of the phablet. Additional nine security fixes have been included in the update.
An important note is that users downloading this update won’t be able to downgrade to older software. This will help the device remain secure against viruses. The update brings no new features for the average users to rejoice, but it is still an important patch as it saves the device from malware and viruses.
In case you own a Samsung Galaxy Note5, you should know that this new update comes with version number N920GDDU2AOL1 and weights only 71.15 MB. The update is being rolled out only to the Indian users as of now, but other regions will get the update soon in a few days. In case the update notification doesn’t automatically come up, go to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates and check for the update manually.
