Samsung is expected to release a new addition to its C-series smartphones, called the Galaxy C9. While Samsung has not officially revealed any details about the new handset, almost every specifications have been leaked online. Now, Samsung has hinted in a teaser that the Galaxy C9 will be launched on Friday. The company is also expected to launch another variant of the mid-range handset, called the Galaxy C9 Pro.
Earlier, Samsung Galaxy C9 was cleared by the Chinese telecom equipment certification authority, TENAA, and FCC. The new certification meant the South Korean giant will be launching the new smartphone pretty soon. The Galaxy C9 has also been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Additionally, it was spotted on Zauba [an imports and exports tracking site in India] with model number SM-C9000.
As per TENAA listing, the Samsung Galaxy C9 is expected to sport a 6-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD [1,920 x 1,080 pixels] resolution. It measures 162.9 x 80.7 x 6.9mm and weighs 185g. The upcoming smartphone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor along with 6GB RAM. It will be backed by a 4000mAh battery.
The specifications match with the recent benchmark test listings. Additionally, the Galaxy C9 have revealed that the Galaxy C9 specs will include a 16MP rear camera and a 16MP front camera. It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and will come with 64GB internal storage. It is expected to features a metal-made design, similar to C5 and C7 (pictured above). It might also include a fingerprint scanner.
Samsung had released first handsets from C-series in China, a few months ago. Both smartphones were not launched in other markets, including India. It is yet to be confirmed whether the upcoming Galaxy C9 will be released in India.
