The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro became the first Samsung smartphone to sport 6 GB of RAM. The phone was unveiled during October with two color choices, Gold and Rose Gold. Now it seems the device will sport an additional color choice, Black Jade.
A couple of photos found on Samsung Design Chief Shane Lee’s Weibo account show the Galaxy C9 Pro wearing a new color called Black Jade. The photos come just a few days after another Samsung model, the Galaxy S7 Edge, was revealed wearing a new Glossy Black color choice. The Korean smartphone manufacturer stated that the new S7 Edge color choice was introduced in order to compete with Apple and its Glossy Jet Black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, as well as to spark the interest in the Galaxy S7 Edge, which is now more than 6 months old.
Although there’s no info about when the new Black Jade Galaxy C9 Pro could become available, the Galaxy S7 Edge Glossy Black should enter the U.S market next month, a perfect launch in time for the holiday shopping spree. Since two photos came from an account of Samsung’s Design Chief, there is a high probability the Black Jade Galaxy C9 Pro is legit.
Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro features a metal body, a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, is powered by Snapdragon 653 (4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4×1.4 GHz Cortex-A53, Adreno 510) chipset. the phone has a 16 MP (f/1.9) main camera and a battery with the capacity of 4000 mAh.
