The three upcoming smartphones from Samsung’s C series, the Galaxy C5 Pro, Galaxy C7 Pro and Galaxy C9, should get a release date placed in 2016. One of the three, the Galaxy C7 Pro has been spotted on Geekbench revealing the model number and some key specs.
Although the smartphone has been spotted, Samsung is still silent about a possible release date. Reports state that the phone should get released during December; there’s a possibility for the Galaxy C7 Pro to be exclusive to the Chinese market, like its predecessor, the Galaxy C7 that got released earlier this year.
The phone spotted on Geekbench bears a model number Samsung CM-C7010. The model works under Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, is powered by Qualcomm processor clocked at 2.21 GHz, and packs 4 GB of RAM. Screen size should be 5.7-inch, according to the earlier leak on Zauba, A site tracking imports and exports in India. Other specs are unknown, but it is expected for the phone to bring lots of upgrades over its predecessor.
The original Galaxy C7 packs a 5.7-inch 1080p, Super AMOLED screen, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53, Adreno 506) chipset, and features 4 Gb of RAM and a choice between 32 GB and 64 GB of expandable (via SIM 2 slot) internal storage. The phone works under Android Marshmallow, has a 16 MP (f/1.9) main camera along with 8 MP selfie snapper, a metal body, and a battery with the capacity of 3300 mAh.
