Sold at an equivalent price tag of $508, the Samsung Galaxy A8 with Exynos is now available for sale in India. This is somewhat costly for the Indian market. What benefits are buyers to get for their money?
The Galaxy A8 comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen that displays a 1080 x 1920 resolution. This indicates a pixel density of 386ppi. The device features the Exynos 5430 SoC. The big LITTLE octa-core CPU is equipped with 4 cores of 1.8GHz Cortex-A15 and 4 cores of 1.3GHz Cortex-A7. The Mali-T628 MP6 GPU caters to graphics. It is fitted with an internal memory capacity of 2GB of RAM, coupled with a 32GB of extended storage.
With a 5.9mm thickness, it is the slimmest smartphone made by Samsung up to date. The Samsung Galaxy A8 incorporates a 16MP rear-facing camera unit with an aperture of f/1.9. That allows consumers to take quality snapshots even under average lighting conditions. On the front is fitted a 5MP shooter to take selfie and take care of video chats using a wide-angle lens of 120 degrees. With a pre-installed Android 5.1, the device is powered by a 3050mAh.
Apart from being thin, the Galaxy A8 supports very thin side bezels. But it would be negligence it we undermine the fact the version of the same phone previously unveiled in Asia last month was a different version. And the model supported the Snapdragon 615 chipset, with an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU.
The smartphone is available in black, white, and gold and is equipped with 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS connectivity. If you are fortunate to be an Airtel customer, the network will double your data for free when you buy this smartphone.
This smartphone variant was launched in China a month ago at a slightly cheaper price than that sold in India.
